Inviting proposals for innovative solutions for reducing industrial waste in India.

The aim of this call is to encourage partnerships between the UK and India.
This new competition is run as part of the Newton-Bhabha Fund programme, Innovate UK and the Research Councils (the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council) in partnership with the Department of Biotechnology are inviting proposals for innovative solutions for reducing industrial waste in India.
Consortia must be formed of UK and Indian businesses and academic/ research organisations. Preference will be given to project consortia that also include an Indian business partner or an Indian urban or other local government body, who would be the end user of the proposed solution.

Note: A workshop on ‘UK-India Newton Fund Industrial Waste Challenge 2017: Academic to Business Partnering Workshop’ is being organized on the 12th July in the UK (in York). This is open to UK and Indian delegates.
