The India-UK Water Centre (IUKWC) is convening the latest in its series of User Engagement Initiatives and Grassroots Field Exposure Sessions in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh between 25th February and 2nd March 2019. These international events are focusing on the supply and management of water resources in Central India and are being hosted by the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Bhopal.
Open call for the 2019 workshop Safe and Sustainable Technologies and Strategies for Integrated Freshwater Resource Management’ in Mysuru, India from 25th to 28th June has been extended to 10th February.

The India-UK Water Centre (IUKWC) launched its first set of Grassroots Field Exposure Sessions in West Bengal on 10th December 2018 to understand the pressures on the water resource in some of the state’s rural and urban environments. The two events were spread over six days and involved visits to North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and Kolkata Municipal areas. The joint Indian and UK scientific teams spent time in Gosaba and Sandeshkhali blocks and at various sites in and around Kolkata including the Ganga Ghat, local industrial water users and East Kolkata Wetlands.
