An IUKWC Science Workshop, held between 18th and 20th September at Lancaster University in the UK, brought together leading Indian and UK scientists to consider the issues around drought monitoring, prediction and management.

The India-UK Water Centre is inviting proposals from members of its Open Network of Water Scientists who are based in India and the UK, to apply for funding underone of two researcher exchange schemes. Funding is available to support at least two researcher exchanges to be undertaken during the period 01 January 2019- 30 June 2019: at least one exchange by an Indian water scientist to the UK and at least one exchange by a UK water scientist to India.

The India-UK Water Centre is inviting proposals from members of its Open Network of Water Scientists to organize and run a workshop. Funding is available to support water scientists, based in India and the UK, in convening one of two Workshops, either:
  • in India during the period 1st February, 2019 – 30th April, 2019; OR
  • in the UK during the period 1st May, 2019 – 31st July, 2019.

The India-UK Water Centre is calling for UK volunteers from its Open Network of Water Scientists to help support the design and implementation of its second User Engagement Initiative (UEI) and third Grassroots Field Exposure Session (GFES).

We are collecting information as part of an India UK Water Centre Pump Priming project  via an online survey. The aim is to identify current and potential future applications of satellite-based soil moisture products, barriers to uptake, user requirements and potential opportunities.
