As you know, IUKWC has launched its webinar series with a schedule booked to the week of July 20th 2020. We are now opening a second call for proposals to lead a webinar within the period 3rd August to 14th September, 2020 so that even more of the excellent work that is being done by Indian and UK scientists in the area of water can be shared widely.
The aim of the webinar series remains the same - to showcase the breadth of high quality water research/practice that has been or is being conducted, and the impacts being realised through Indo-UK collaborations. Proposals from members in either country who have high quality and high value research/practice that may not have been done through an Indo-UK collaboration, but that has been conducted either in the UK or India and that can be applied to the other country, are also still welcome.
All the webinars, as always, will be open to IUKWC members and the wider public. The IUKWC Secretariat will provide technical support and it is expected that the time commitment to leading a webinar will be no more than one day, at the most, to include pre-webinar testing and the webinar itself. The webinars are expected to start at 1300 GMT/1730 IST for the convenience of presenters and viewers in both countries.
All proposals will be vetted by the IUKWC Management Board and webinar topics will be selected based on the quality of the abstract, and impact realised and/or applicability to the other country. If we receive more proposals than available slots, the proposals will be ranked by the IUKWC thematic areas covered and whether they promoted or can promote Indo-UK collaboration.
We look forward to supporting IUKWC members by sharing their research far and wide.
