Sharing Your Research – A call to IUKWC members to lead a webinar
The IUKWC is launching its own webinar series so that the excellent work that is being done by Indian and UK scientists in the area of water can be shared more widely.
In order to bring something positive to the IUKWC membership and the wider water stakeholder group, in this otherwise grim period for all, the IUKWC Management Board is inviting members of the Open Network to propose topics for webinars that would run from mid-May to September 2020. The focus of the series will be to showcase the breadth of Indo-UK water research/practice and its impacts, as well as outputs and learnings from IUKWC activities. However, we would also like to give members the opportunity to share high quality and high value research/practice that may not have been done through an Indo-UK collaboration, but that has been conducted either in the UK or India and that can be applied to the other country.
All the webinars will be open to IUKWC members, as well as the wider public. The IUKWC Secretariat will provide technical support and it is expected that the time commitment to leading a webinar will be no more than one day, at the most, to include pre-webinar testing and the webinar itself. The webinars are expected to start at 1000 GMT/1530 IST for the convenience of presenters and viewers in both countries.
All proposals will be vetted by the IUKWC Management Board and webinar topics will be selected based on the quality of the abstract, and impact realised and/or applicability to the other country. If we receive more proposals than available slots, the proposals will be ranked by the IUKWC thematic areas covered and whether they promoted or can promote Indo-UK collaboration.
We look forward to supporting IUKWC members by sharing their research far and wide.
