The India-UK Water Centre is inviting proposals from members of its Open Network of Water Scientists to organize and run a workshop. Funding is available to support water scientists, based in India and the UK, in convening one of two Workshops, either:
  • in India during the period 1st February, 2019 – 30th April, 2019; OR
  • in the UK during the period 1st May, 2019 – 31st July, 2019.

The India-UK Water Centre is calling for UK volunteers from its Open Network of Water Scientists to help support the design and implementation of its second User Engagement Initiative (UEI) and third Grassroots Field Exposure Session (GFES).

Are you currently using satellite soil moisture data? Or… do you think satellite soil moisture data may be useful to you in the future?

We are collecting information as part of an India UK Water Centre Pump Priming project  via an online survey. The aim is to identify current and potential future applications of satellite-based soil moisture products, barriers to uptake, user requirements and potential opportunities.

A three day workshop of Indian and UK scientists is being held at the Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun hosted by the India-UK Water Centre (IUKWC). Experts from both countries will present the latest research findings and discuss ways of improving future of water security within the Indian Himalayas through integrating precipitation forecasts and climate predictions with basin-scale hydrological modelling.
