Led by Dr Zareen Bharucha (Anglia Ruskin University). Co-investigators include: Dr. Rajib Chattopadhyay, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune; Dr. Jagdish Krishnaswamy, Ashoka Trust for Ecology and Environment, Bangalore; Dr. Michael Green, Global Sustainability Institute, Anglia Ruskin University; Dr. Ajay Bhave, Sustainability Research Institute, University of Leeds.
The project will review current practices, challenges and future opportunities relating to the development of hydro-climatic services (HCS) used to predict, manage and communicate water scarcity in drought-prone environments in India. The goal is to support the development of inclusive and stakeholder-led tools.
